Etiquette at BYML
The Etiquette Sheet is a BIG HIT! Come to the studio to grab your copy! We aren't big into enforcing rules at BYML but Bikram Yoga IS a discipline. If you ever have questions please ask us anytime!
Some highlight of our studio policies:
- Don't put your mat right in front of a mat behind you
- We recommend one class per day for every student - No more. No less.
- No talking in the hot room
- Take off your shoes before you enter the studio
- No glass bottles or colored drinks in the hot room
- Drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of water EVERY DAY when practicing Bikram Yoga
- BE NICE!

I have built a schedule to ramp up our practice slowly & safely this Spring, suitable for everyone, every student, every age, every level. For the next several weeks, we will normalize our bodies by getting in the routine of practicing 3 days per week. You choose your classes. You track your progress on the Challenge Wall.
It is roughly 12 weeks until June 10th if we all start next week. Then, we will count down the last four weeks of our challenge and RAMP UP our practice:
- 1st 8 weeks (3/18-5/12): 3x per week
- Week 9 (5/13-5/19): 4x per week
- Week 10 (5/20-5/26): 5x per week
- Week 11 (5/27-6/2): 6x per week
- Week 12 (6/3-6/10): 7x per week
By June 10th, just as school's out for Summer, we culminate in reaching our goal of practicing every day. From there, your future is limitless! You will feel stronger and more at ease than ever in your life. I have designed this challenge to be realistic about Spring Break vacations and necessary days off during the Spring. I have left room to make up classes in the beginning weeks if there are days you know you will not be able to practice later. I think I have thought of everything. Therefore, there can be no excuses.
